Thank you Virgil Shillam for
building and donating the Arbors located on
the
Playground in the Author's Grove. This donation, valued at approximately $7000, provides
the district valuable assets it would not have been able to obtain with school
or other funding available to the district. Furthermore, your donation
helps the district bring important focus to the grove and what it represents for
the students of Griffin. Your two arbors provide a much needed
identifiable gateway to the grove and have become an integral part of the
area.
Thank you Paul Taylor (Taylor Shellfish Farms) and Griffin Foundation (Cheryl Falkenburg) for your generous monetary donation which led to the purchase of the Griffin School Acoustical Shell. The use of this shell has made our music program sound even better!

Thank you Steve Lundin, Teri Weaver and Baird Miller for your generous donation of historical pictures that will be displayed in the front entry as you walk into Griffin School. This display will be called "Founders Foyer" and will include several historical pictures of Griffin School.

Thank you Griffin School Foundation for your generous monetary donation which led to the purchase of the Greenhouses shown below. Students have used the Greenhouses as part of Wednesday Enrichment opportunities and currently students in Mr. Temple's Science classes are using them for class projects. Mr. Temple has also developed a few garden spaces that are worked throughout the year.
Thank you Griffin School Foundation and Griffin PTO Members for your generous monetary donation which led to the purchase of the Backstop. This backstop was purchased during the modernization project. It is used by Griffin students daily for recess activities, PE, and before and after school sports.
Thank you Griffin School PTO (Tawni Ricchio & Community Volunteers) for creating the Author's Grove and benches. The Author's Grove is located on the school playground. It serves as an area where students can enjoy reading a book, or just simply viewing the trees and other plants.
Thank you Griffin School PTO (& Community Volunteers) for your donation to help build the School Walking Path. The Walking Path is used by students, staff and community members on a daily basis.
Thank you Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife along with the Scott family and friends for your donation that helped create the Skyler Scott Memorial Reading Corner located in the Griffin School Library. Not only does this area serve as a way to honor and remember Griffin Student Skyler Scott, but now students have an enjoyable, comfortable place to sit and read!
Thank you Griffin School Foundation for your donation of a Commemorative Bench and Tree to honor long time school volunteer, "Grandma Jackson." The bench is just outside the main entry of the school and serves as a daily reminder of just how important our volunteers are to Griffin students, staff and the community.
In addition to the donation of the Bench, the Brick Pavers also just outside the main entry are a great way for community members to leave a lasting impression on Griffin School.
Thank you Heather Taylor-Zimmerman for allowing Griffin students, staff and community members to enjoy your talent on a daily basis. The painting is displayed in the Griffin School Library and reflects the joys of reading. It was donated when the new building was opened after the modernization. Coming soon will be pictures of the Grizzly Bears that Heather painted in the school gym and Middle School hallway.
Thank you Griffin School PTO for donating the wonderful Bird Bath and Sun Dial which are now affectionately displayed in the Griffin School Library.
